A flat tire has a way of turning a normal day into a stressful one in seconds. Whether it happens on the freeway during morning rush hour, in a parking lot after work, or on a quiet side street at midnight it’s never convenient, and changing a tire on the side of a busy road is genuinely dangerous to do on your own.
That’s where MG Towing & Recovery comes in. We provide fast, professional roadside tire change service throughout Milwaukee, Caledonia, and the surrounding southeastern Wisconsin areas 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our trained technicians arrive with the right tools, handle the swap safely and efficiently, and make sure your spare is properly installed and road-ready before we leave. No struggling with a stubborn lug wrench on the shoulder of I-94. Just one call and we’ve got it handled.

Changing a tire yourself might seem like the obvious solution, but depending on where you’re stranded, it can be one of the more dangerous things you do on a road. Here’s why calling MG Towing & Recovery is the smarter, safer choice:
Road Position and Traffic: If you’re on a highway, a major arterial road, or anywhere with fast-moving traffic, crouching beside your vehicle to change a tire puts you in a very vulnerable position. Every year, people are seriously injured doing exactly that. Our technicians are trained to work safely in roadside environments and know how to position themselves and their equipment to minimize risk.
Proper Tools Make a Difference: The jack and lug wrench that came with your car are the bare minimum and sometimes they’re not enough, especially if your lug nuts are overtightened or your spare has been sitting unused for years. Our technicians carry professional-grade equipment that handles any situation cleanly and efficiently.
Wisconsin Weather Adds Risk: Changing a tire in the middle of a Wisconsin winter on cold pavement, in the dark, possibly in snow or freezing rain is miserable and risky. We operate in all weather conditions so you don’t have to.
We Check for Underlying Issues: A flat tire isn’t always just a nail or a slow leak. Sometimes it’s rim damage, a sidewall blowout, or a valve stem failure. Our technicians inspect the damaged tire and the rim while they’re there and let you know if there’s anything else you need to be aware of before you drive on.
Step 1: Call Us Dial (414) 973-1902 and tell our dispatcher your location and what’s happened. If you’re in an unsafe spot on a highway or in low visibility let us know immediately and we’ll advise you on the safest way to position yourself while you wait.
Step 2: Fast Dispatch We’ll send the nearest available technician to your location right away. Our average response time across Milwaukee is 20 to 50 minutes. You’ll get an ETA when you call and our dispatcher will stay in touch until help arrives.
Step 3: Safe Setup Our technician will assess the scene upon arrival, position their vehicle for maximum safety, and set up proper warning equipment before getting to work. Your safety and theirs comes before anything else.
Step 4: Professional Tire Change We’ll safely jack up your vehicle, remove the flat tire, and mount your spare using professional-grade tools. Every lug nut gets torqued properly not just hand-tight so the spare is fully secure for the road.
Step 5: Inspection & Confirmation Before we leave, we’ll check the spare’s tire pressure, inspect the damaged tire to let you know what caused the flat, and confirm everything is road-ready. We’ll also remind you of any speed or distance limitations for your spare if it’s a temporary compact spare.
Step 6: Tow to a Tire Shop If Needed If you don’t have a spare or if the spare is also damaged or flat we can tow your vehicle directly to the nearest tire shop or your preferred mechanic without any additional wait. One call covers everything.
Our technicians are equipped and trained to handle tire changes across a wide range of vehicles and tire types:
Standard Tires: Everyday passenger car tires on sedans, hatchbacks, and coupes. The most common type we see and the quickest to change.
SUV & Truck Tires: Larger, heavier tires require the right jack and more torque. Our equipment is rated for SUVs, pickup trucks, and light commercial vehicles.
Low-Profile & Performance Tires: Found on sports cars and luxury vehicles, these tires sit very close to the rim and require careful handling to avoid rim damage during removal and installation.
Run-Flat Tires: Run-flats are designed to keep you mobile for a short distance after losing pressure, but they still need to be replaced. Our technicians know how to handle them correctly.
Compact Spare Tires: Also known as “donut” spares, these are temporary and come with limitations. We’ll install it properly and make sure you understand the driving restrictions before you head out.

Not necessarily. If you have a spare, we'll install it. If your spare is missing, flat, or damaged or if you don't have one at all we can tow your vehicle directly to the nearest tire shop or your preferred mechanic so you can get a proper replacement. Either way, you're not stuck.
Yes. Our technicians are trained to work with all tire types, including low-profile performance tires, run-flats, and oversized truck tires. Just let us know your vehicle's make and model when you call so we can arrive fully prepared.
Most tire changes are completed within 15 to 25 minutes of our technician arriving on scene. The exact time depends on the vehicle type, the condition of the lug nuts, and whether the spare needs any preparation before mounting.
That depends on the type of spare. Full-size spare tires are generally fine to drive on normally. Compact "donut" spares are temporary and typically limited to around 50 mph and 50 to 70 miles of driving. Our technician will let you know exactly what you're working with and what's safe before you drive away.
If the rim itself is bent or cracked, mounting a new tire on it may not be safe or even possible roadside. Our technician will inspect the rim and let you know what they find. If the rim is damaged, towing your vehicle to a shop is the right call and we can do that immediately.
No. We charge the same flat, upfront rate regardless of when you call no after-hours surcharges, no weekend fees, no holiday markups. You'll know the cost before we start, and that's what you pay.
Pull as far off the road as safely possible and turn on your hazard lights. If you're on a highway, stay inside your vehicle with your seatbelt on standing outside near highway traffic is more dangerous than it looks. Our dispatcher will stay in contact with you until our technician arrives.
